Sooo....went to Mardi Gras in Manchester on Saturday. The rain finally stopped and the sun began to shine.

There were lots of very tall drag queens, sparkles and feathers....not as many floats as I expected though. Everybody seemed to have a great time and Canal Street in the Gay Village was of course very busy.

Note to self, don't drink too much early in the day... it makes you tired and so boring that you just want to sit on a comfy seat in a dark corner of a pub!

All in all though, it was fun, and now it already seems like ages ago.

The sun has shone on this luvverly Bank Holiday monday, let's hope it is still shining when we go camping next weekend. :0)

So whilst we were away camping the cellar got flooded, infact the houses all along our row got their cellars flooded!
Luckily ours is only flooded in the bit of the cellar that hasn't been dug out properly so it hasn't damaged any of our precious possesions, (for precious read JUNK!) We can't pump out the water as it just fills up again, hopefully the water plate will go down soon and the water will drain away. In the meantime I have to contact our insurers and get dehumidifiers in. Fantastico!

So I got my appointment at the hospital sorted...Friday 13th September, bloody typical! Let's hope it's lucky for me rather than unlucky.

Mum gave me some bad news today, my Grandad has lung cancer...he doesn't know yet. He's been down since my Nanna died last year, they'd been together for nearly 60 years. He's the last of my grandparents. Although we aren't close it's still horrid... he will be missed by us all, and there are quite a few of us.

So bit of a good news, bad news day...

Just got back from camping today. We decided to stay on an extra day as it was actually sunny yesterday! Shock horror...and this being August too!! LOL

We had a brill time though and celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary on Saturday with a barbecue and some drinkies...sat looking up at the stars. The sky is so clear by the coast it's so lovely to see so many stars.

Got back to some good news too. A letter had arrived from the hospital saying I need to ring them to organise an appointment at the fertility clinic, so hopefully I'll get an appointment soon and things can start moving along again.

The cat has missed us lots, even though she has been looked after by my bro, she is hassling me now to play so I'd better sign off.
