Another day, another dollar...quite a few dollars actually! (well pounds then if you are going to be picky) LOL A woman came into the shop today and bought Christmas presents for the whole world, or so it seemed to me, I think it was probably my biggest single sale...woohoo :0) So as you can tell I am pretty chuffed. I've just got my fingers crossed that the Craft and Gift Fair I'm doing this weekend goes really well too. I've been frantically making up baskets and gift boxes to take. I even treated myself to a glue gun last week so I can add bows to the baskets neatly without using double sided tape which never sticks properly and looks messy. Ah the trials and tribulations of a gift basket entrepeneur :0)

Looking forward to Bonfire Night, there is going to be a big Charity Firework display at the Craft Centre, plus a bar and barbecue...so it should be fun. I'm keeping the shop open until 7pm and will be loading up the car ready for the craft fair the next day. Andy is going into the shop for me over the weekend. Now Bonfire Night is good but I love Halloween, it's been a few years now since we have had a Halloween Party. I was hoping to do one this year but I'm too busy. Will still be carving a pumpkin though and getting out my pottery witch and wizard to sit in the window. They were a wedding present from our old next door neighbour. (Old as in she used to live next door not old as in old crone but I'm sure some folk will disagree!) She makes pottery stuff. Some of it is pretty naff but I do like the witch and wizard.

Anyhoo I'm off to make tea, and then we're going to take Angela her birthday present...knickers and gin! What more could a woman want ;0)

I can't believe it's been so long since I have written on here....where the heck does the time go?...that's a rhetorical question by the way. I do not know where the time goes, you do not know where the time goes...it just goes...I'm not the f**king Oracle! (Ann will understand that statement LOL)

Soooooo...been a very busy bee making up gift baskets and having a big change around at the shop. I've got a 2 day craft fair next weekend and hopefully it will be a good one. Plus, even better my best mate and her hub-sand are coming over to stay, so much eating, drinking and spraffing will be done! (Spraffing is a technical term for talking endless rubbish when one is drunk...well when this one is drunk anyhoo!)

Just been to see the inlaws, they are off to Amsterdam on Tuesday for a couple of days and are very excited. It's a holiday that is long overdue for them. Hope they have a fabby time. I still have got our Prague photos developed, must try and remember to get them done this week. Andy took lots of pics so there will be lots where you say 'This is a building', 'This is a building with doors', 'This is a building with windows', 'This is a building with doors and windows' This is us in front of a building', I'm sure you get the idea. LOL

Also just wanted to let you all know how much I love the S Club 7 tune 'Reach for the stars', I know it was out years ago, but it is one of those tunes that I just have to sing along to at the top of my voice in the car. It's such a happy tune, naff, but very upbeat. Other songs that I have to sing along to, even if I don't know all the words....
Brown Eyed Girl
Wake up Boo
Faith
Don't blame it on the boogie
Stuck in the middle with you
Respect
Mustang Sally
Just to mention a few! :))

And on that off key note, I'll love ya and leave ya. xx

So I have had raging cold from hell since Saturday! Snotty nose, chesty cough, the whole caboodle...lahverly!

Happy thing of the week, managed to get my hands on some gorgeous new stuff for the shop...body butter, marmalade body scrub, honey foaming bath gel plus other scrumptious things :0)

Moan of the week...why oh why did they have to have Gareth do the bloomin remake of Suspicious Minds?! No one can beat Elvis singing it, not even the Fine Young Cannibals for anyone out there who was around in the 80's. I have to admit I like Elvis I think he is/was ace, (to quote an 80's phrase) I still sing along to the song on MTV though and marvel at the wierdness of the latest Disney offering...what the hell is that thing Lilo anyway? Answers on a postcard to ....

Got back from Prague a couple of hours ago. The weather was fantastic, the buildings and history fantabulous, food and drink cheap and tasty. All in all we had a fantastico time. One of the main higlights was drinking Absinth The lovely barmaid showed us the correct way of drinking it, (yes, there is a special way of drinking, sort of along the tequila lines, you know salt, tequila, lime thing), you can read about it in the link. Very spicy and hot on the throat, nice but could only manage a couple! At only a £ a shot it just had to be done ;0)

So I'm knackered now, so an early night for us.
