Wayhey, we put the tent up today, took us an hour but hopefully it will be quicker when we do it next time. It's fantastico.
Got new chairs, new plates cups, mugs, etc...very posh. Picking up the new coolbox tomorrow, then I think we're all set.
I'm shattered today, too much fresh air, my body isn't used to it! Well, it's just a short post tonight. Will try and find some more quizzes for you to do :0)

I've been planting Summer bulbs in the front garden today. Irises and freesias, the latter are my favourite flowers, their smell is gorgeous but they are soooo 'spensive in the shops! I've been pulling up a lot of the grape hyacinths we have at the front as they are all leaves and only a few tiny flowers. Plus, the cats like to lie and sunbathe on them so they get all flattened anyway! By the way, if anyone wants any tomato plants they should be ready in a week or two. If you've got a good sunny spec in the garden they should survive being outside. We've put some in the mini greenhouse as it has been warming up in the sun for the past few days, so they should harden off nicely. Listen to me, I'm beginning to sound like Alan Titchmarsh! LOL
We've also bought a Rasberry cane and a Blackcurrant bush, they can go in pots...somewhere.......
We're all set to go camping on the weekend 7th to 10th May, we might go a day early so we can get a good spec. I suppose we better have a practice of putting the tent up before we go, that should be fun.....
Hopefully we going out for a pub meal this evening with the outlaws...it's such a gorgeous day...really makes you feel that Spring is here and Summer is on it's way. Fingers crossed Derek will drive ;0)

So, I went to visit Ann today...Hi matey. We had a lovely time chatting and eating chocolate Easter cake..YUM!
I came back home to find that our lounge has become a greenhouse! Andy has been repotting all the plants and because the lounge gets sun all day and has a big bay window the plants will obviously be happy there. We've got sooo many tomato plants though we don't know what to do with them all, and the weather just isn't good enough to put them in our mini greenhouse.
I think we will have to make a plan to work out where to put everything. We've yet to plant the mini carrots, mini parsnips, trailing tomatoes, onions and spring onions. I think a lot of things will be going in big pots. I want to get some alpine strawberries too....remember we only have a little yard!
The kitchen has also been taken over by empty jars, Andy is planning on making chutneys and pickles etc....this really is The Good Life experience LOL So long as he doesn't bring a goat home!
Ah well, I'm shattered, I'm off to bed to watch my Tales of the City video that I got as a pressie...cool.

And for even more fun do this quiz...I was Kanga...hmmm...not sure about that
By the way, to find out about your area type in your postcode and then click on ACORN profile, and then click on full profile. The differences in areas which are relatively close to each other is amazing.

This is weird but....I was reading someone elses Blog and they had a link to Up My Street and I found out all sorts of strange statistics about where I live, interesting but pretty geekish I suppose. Plus, it doesn't sound like where I live, maybe they did the survey when all the scallies were at home that day.... my goodness...do I sound like a snob!!!
This bit in particuler did make me laugh though, infact I snorted my wine out of my nose!!
"The striking thing about this ACORN Type's usage of packaged goods is the enormous quantity of dog food purchased - more than double the average. "
'Who let the dogs out?!'...you've got to live here to get that LOL

Birthday went well, everybody seemed to enjoy themselves and Andy and I didn't get to bed until 7am. Angela and Robbie were the last to leave, as per usual, at 5am. We just sit nattering for hours!
Picked up another Craft magazine today so I'm visiting all the websites advertised in there. I've decided to try and make as many pressies as I can this year. Made Mother's Day presents, my Mum got decorated cinnamon biscuits and Andy's Mum got a herb pot that I decorated along with a basil plant and a printed recipe sheet.
I've got so many crafty bits and pieces lying around that it seems silly not to use them. Plus I'm fed up of just buying the same things in the shops. Therefore hopefully most folks will get something really unique this year, plus of course it will be made with love by me!!! :0)

So I am listening to Pink to get me in a Paaarty mood. It's my birthday and folks are coming over to eat, drink and chat. Andy has made me a chocolate fudge birthday cake...YUM!
Finally going to get to wear the glittery top with Audrey Hepburn's face on, that I got for Christmas. So me and everything else is now covered in glitter! Hee Hee ~*~*~*~

So it's the last episode of Sex and the City tonight. I love that programme, mainly for the outfits. SJP wears some fabulous frocks!
It's my birfday tomorrow...and I will be 32 again! ;0)

And just to finish for the night. Here's a pic of my nerf Bubba Ben and his sister Chloe

So here are all the places I've been to in the World. Admittedly, I have only actually wandered around the airports in some countries on the way to somewhere else! :0)
By the way, the new pic on the side is a more realistic 'doll' version of me :0) My hair is growing again and I can just about scrape most of it into a scrunchie now.

On a much lighter note, Lula is using her litter tray again. Hurrah, no more embarassment that she is pooping in the neighbours garden LOL
Not much else is going on. Andy has turned into Percy Thrower, (do ya remember him?) he's planting loads of seeds in propagator trays. He's really into this self sufficiency thing at the mo. His plan is for us to have a smallholding one day, (no sniggering at the back! LOL) His latest idea is that we should move to Normandy...hmmmm...we shall see. Apparently houses and land are cheap there but, well, like I said, we'll see.

What a couple of days, woke up yesterday and was horrified to see the devastation in Madrid. We were supposed to be going to my Mum and Dad's early but couldn't tear ourselves away from BBC 24 Andy immediately got online to see if he could contact Innes to see if Berta and her family were ok. Apparently noone Innes knows has been hurt. Andy used to work with Innes in Madrid, and we went to Madrid last year and I met him and his girlfriend and her family. Innes came to stay with us before Christmas and now he is back in Vancouver working. It was such a shock to see places I visited destroyed and in chaos. I had the same feeling after the Bali bomb. We have such wonderful memories of Bali and I was really saddened to see that terrorism had it's grip there too.
Now watching the 2 million people demonstrating in Madrid, absolutely amazing to see a country so united in grief, anger and defiance against terrorism.
I still get cold chills when I remeber the IRA bombing in Warrington which happened on my birthday 11 years ago. If Ann and I had not missed our bus we would have been in Warrington that day. The bomb in Manchester was awful too, our wedding photographers girlfriend had been caught up in that, that was on Andy's birthday. How freaky is that?

Well being as I now have a comments system, I guess I should be polite and introduce you guys. Especially if Mysterywoman is popping by. The rest of you know each other I think. So here goes.
I know Batty and Helen from school, many years ago when I was young and sweet! LOL
I met Ann on the first day at Uni. Jon is Ann's husband.
I first met Mysterywoman online, she is a fellow Izzardite and I met her for real at an Izzardite Gathering in London in 2001.
Errrmmm, I think that's just about everyone who reads the Blog...it is not widely read but thinly read and that is not a bad thing ;0)

I'm in a wittering mood, so I will witter on. The other night I had a vivid dream, I kissed someone who wasn't Andy, it was someone I knew years ago at school and haven't seen for over 10 years. I don't remember much else but I was upset when I woke up and told Andy about it. I know it means nothing but it made me think about that feeling you get when you kiss someone for the first time. You know when you are nervous, a bit self conscious but it's really a thrill. I miss those kisses. I mean me and Andy have passionate kisses, but I know him so well that I don't really feel nervous or anything. The only time I feel like that is when he has been working away and we have been apart for sometime.
So what am I trying to say? I guess just that kissing is still good but not the same. There's something deeper there but as I approach 35 I fondly miss those 'Teenage Kicks' Personally I think I'm just scared of getting older. It's much better now that I 'know' the person I am kissing but it's different ya know?
I've been sitting here and can still remember the first time I kissed Andy, and do you know what, it feels good to remember that. Soz if this is all a bit personal, but it just got me thinking about kisses and how they change over time.

Woo hoo, so I now have a comments system :0) Please do leave your comments. I know that there's is only about 3 people who read this Blog, but hey, it would be nice to hear from you.
In other news, we have bought a new tent. I smashed open the terramundi pot I got for my birday last year and we had £253 in there...fantastico! So we want to spend it on new camping stuff. Got a 6 berth tent which you can see here plus two new lanterns, new stuff sacs for our sleeping bags, a collapsible water carrier and we want to get a bigger cool box. andy would like a new chair too.
Now we can't wait for May, so that we can take a trip to Shell Island. better have a practice of putting the tent up first though :0) It's huge... more like a castle!
Must go, father in law has turned up and it's my turn to make a cup of tea :0)

You might wonder where I get all these quizzes from, well they are from a friend I met online and who I have actually met in person at an Izzard Gathering in London. I know her as Mysterywoman and she has a Livejournal Hope she doesn't mind me posting a link here :0)
Anyway, here is another little thing that she put on her journal along with my answers.
So, say you were meeting a new person and you wanted them to have some idea of what kind of person you are, and who you are. But you can't actually tell them in so many words. Instead, you have to give them a box, with a dozen things in it for them to ponder over.
What would you put in the box? No cheating - you're not allowed to include things such as links to your livejournal/blog.
I'm afraid you will have to mail me your answers as I don't have a comments system on here :0(
My box would be thick cardboard covered in handmade paper, with a lid and tied up with a purple ribbon.
1. Defrizz hair stuff
2. Honey and Oatmeal soap that I have made.
3. A mallet and tent pegs
4. Some Cheshire cheese
5. A cat toy
6. My well worn Betty Boop mousemat
7. A bottle of Chilean dry white wine
8. My passport, it's filled with stamps from all over the world.
9. A bookmark
10. My Degree certificate
11. A wedding photo.
12. A pic of my garden on a summer evening.
