Never on a Sunday
Forgot to add, yesterday I dashed to Asda to pick up a few bits and pieces, for some reason I was feeling stressed, probably due to it being that 'time of the month'. Anyway, the carpark was heaving and as I was trying to find a place to park I managed to scrape against another car...bugger! It sounded awful :0( So I parked the car, and saw I had long white scrape on the back passenger door, feeling very shaky I went to check the other car, it only had a tiny white mark on it's bumper...phew! Shopping in Asda was horrendous...too many people, kids and not much on the bloomin' shelves! I remembered as I paid at the checkout that I hadn't picked up any ice. So I put the shopping in the car then ventured back into Asda, negotiated people, trolleys, small children and stock cages only to discover there was no ice left...aaaargh!
Eventually I came home, burst into tears and as Andy hugged me I said, 'never send me to Asda on a Sunday again..., it's a living hell' I know, what a bloomin' drama queen eh? ;0)

Blogging Chicks
Oooooo...our Annie Eags has got a Blog It's her and Jon's wedding anniversary today, so go wish them 'Happy anniversary' :0)
I've added her to my Daily Reads, down there on the left hand side, scroll down <---

Barby yesterday was fun, the weather was gorgeous in the afternoon. Ate lots of yummy food and I was drinking stubby strongbow, so was nice and chilled. I made some Tabouleh to take with us, it goes great with barby food and all the herbs came out of our garden. Soon I'll be able to use our own peppers and tomatoes too. Yay!
Here's my recipe for Tabouleh
Cook Bulgar Wheat as per packet instructions
In the meantime finely chop
3 spring onions
2 cloves garlic
1 red pepper
1 green pepper
3 tbsp fresh parsley
2 tbsp fresh coriander
3 tbsp fresh mint
Combine with the cooked bulgar wheat, drizzle with 3 tbsp olive oil and 6 tbsp lemon juice. Carefully mix together, add salt and pepper to taste. Chill in the fridge and add chopped tomato when serving. YUM!
I first learnt to make this in Canada, and was taught by a Lebanese man, that recipe used cucumber instead of peppers. Try it and see which you prefer. Tabouleh is great with bbq stuff coz it balances out greasy/sticky meats and kebabs etc. I luuuurve it :0)

Big Brother is Evil!
So what do you reckon to BB5 then? They seem to be a lively bunch, some interesting characters...who do you like and who do you hate? I think Emma is lovely but she gets on my nerves talking all the time...she reminds me of me! Aaaaargh :0) Kitten, I'm just not sure she knows what she is rebelling against, she seems to be a bit of 'all talk and no trousers' at the mo. I didn't want to like the enigmatic Daniel, but he's one of those people who can't help being drawn to, and he knows it! And as for Marco, all I can say is, 'calm down love' The queen act is going to get pretty wearing for me watching and for him too I'm sure.

Gotta go, off to barby now at Batty's :0)

Slut's wool!
So do ever watch How Clean Is Your House'? Aggie and Kim are hilarious. Aggie is 'germ queen' and collects all the nasties around the house to send off to the lab. Kim is 'cleaning queen' and has a fetish to sniff things, manky pillows, dubious buckets and sweaty beds...yuck! I love the programme it makes me feel that my cleaning habits are pretty good.
If you are wondering what the 'slut's wool' refers to,it's my name for 'dust bunnies' i.e.when I've been a cleaning slut and there are balls of cat hair behind the couch because I haven't hoovered there for a week!
On that note I'm off to mop the hall floor :0)

Ooooo the new Harry Potter film is out soon, so I've started reading The Prisoner of Azkaban again. I've also been playing on the website...Cool :0) Try out the marauders map...some fabby games to play. Can't wait to see the film...very excited (said in Welsh Pavlov accent)

Had a lovely time chilling at the weekend, Ann and Jon came over, we did bugger all and it was fab ;0) Ann and I even caught a few rays yesterday, hurrah the sun has returned. I ate loads over the weekend though and my waistline has expanded, but who in their right mind can refuse ice cream!!! I mean I ask you LOL

We didn't win the pub quiz last night, what a surprise. Ah well, we did discover that we were good at the Creatures round, I think we must all have been vets or zoologists in a previous life. Either that or we have reached that age where all we watch on Cable TV is the Discovery Channel. It's very educational don't ya know. By the way, when did you stop watching Top of the Pops? It was about 10 years ago for me as my social life suddenly went BOOM, and I actually went out during the week. Now I don't watch it coz I'm an old fart and I don't know who the hell is on there. I even find myself saying, 'what is this crap?' and the worst one, 'I remember when this was first in the charts and this version is crap!'

Oooo that scratch is making me itch!
I just wanted to let you all know that I have 13 mozzie bites on my bum cheek and 1 huge one on my leg! I must have had a mozzie caught in my pants on Tuesday night. The little buggers! They are now starting to go better after I have put tea tree and lavender oil on but bloomin' eck do they itch...aaaargh!

Right I'm off to pick Angela and Robbie up. It's freezing outside but I'm sure we will warm up with some alcohol and get the chiminea going.

My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard.
So I'm sitting here drinking strawberry milkshake that I've just whipped up in the blender YUM! Plenty of Vitamin C for me, no scurvy here matey ;0)

Andy and I went for eye tests yesterday and today he is wearing his contact lenses, he does keep looking for his glasses though, old habits are hard to break even when you can see! We're both getting new glasses and sunglasses plus 60 days worth of daily disposable contact lenses. Hurrah I won't have to wear my gigs when I go out :0) V.Chuffed.

We're having a barby tonight and Angela and Robbie are coming round. We're going to try and organise a date for our next camping trip. I'll take some photo's with our new digi camera which we got today. Yay we won't have to borrow Derek's anymore! Good old Aldi they have some fab stuff at great prices. The camera is at least £100 dearer everywhere else...bargain!

Errr, guess that's all for now folks...my life is just too exciting for words LOL ;0)

Here's a Quiz for you.
Blue
What Color is Your Brain?

brought to you by Quizilla
As you can see I was Blue.
At work or in school: I like to be with people, sharing with them, inspiring them, and helping them. I work and learn best when I can take into consideration people and the human element. I flourish in an atmosphere of cooperation.
With friends: I always look for perfect love. I am very romantic, and I enjoy doing thoughtful things for others. I am affectionate, supportive and a good listener.
With family: I like to be happy and loving. I am very sensitive to rejection from my family and to family conflicts. I really like to be well thought of and need frequent reassurance. I love intimate talks and warm feelings.

So let me know what colour your brain is in the comments below.

So the Craft Fair at Reaseheath went pretty well, but only took just over half the money that we normally do. It was so hot that folks were only really interested in buying food and drink. The guy on the Honey stall next to me said they only took about half what they have in previous years too.

The Tropical Tart soap that I made went well, it was a real eye catcher and smelt great. Will definitely make a couple of those for the next Fair, will have to order some more soapbase first though. Plus I need to get some powdered colours for the bath bombs, I can't get a deep enough tint with the liquid ones as they set the mixture off fizzing if I use too much.

My back is still killing me and doing the hoovering today hasn't helped...grrrr.

Did manage to spend sometime today sitting in the garden reading though. I'm reading a Wendy Holden book, one of those typical chick lit books, but hey it's something to read, I'm not much of a snob when it comes to reading matter, I just love reading!

It's been lovely and sunny again but unfortunately the sun has gone off our backyard by 3.30pm. I think we might have a barby for tea though.

Other news, my brother in law and his girlfriend have set a date for their wedding, 27th August next year. Michelle has asked me to be a bridesmaid which is lovely, but I am a bit worried about what she might want me to wear...eeeks...as long as it's not tartan eh Ann? ;0)

My brother's fiancée Tracie has just got a new job. It's at the same place she has been working on a temporary contract. It's promotion and permanent, so at last she will get paid holidays and all other usual perks. Fantastic news for them both as they too are saving for their wedding next year. My brother Martin is really busy with his gardening business and is looking to take someone else on. He's been working 7 days a week and some of those days for 12 hours...he looked pretty knackered the last time I saw him. My Dad work's with him but it's getting a bit too much for him, I mean he's fairly fit but he is 61 now and he does get such a narky bugger when he is tired! LOL So what's the change there, then? He's usually narky when he isn't tired...bless him LOL

Sooo yeah....been making more soap. Surf's Up and Oatmeal & Honey with real oatmeal and honey in it! It smells YUM! Got to make some Mango soap in a bit. Not with real mangoes though.

My back is killing me from standing over my workbench all day, think I'd better take some painkillers. Almost all the washing from camping is done now....you're right Ann, everything does smell of woodsmoke. Oh the joys of camping ;0) Well I suppose I'd better go and peg the washing out.

Woooo...Blogger has been updated with all posh extras, will have to try them out when I get time.

Camping was excellent, the weather was fairly kind to us. Best days were Thursday, Sunday and Monday. The new tent was fab, loads of space and was great for sitting in at night, provided Andy with good shelter from the sun too. So glad we bought a gas heater to keep the chill off at night though. I think this is the earliest time of the year we have ever camped. Was great to get together with Ann and Jon too. Andy hadn't seen them for 5 months!!

By the way, Ann if you are reading this, Andy is poorly too, he's got the trots...poor thing! I think he must have picked up a bug, so maybe it wasn't the juice, or maybe it was as he did finish it off.

I'm busy making soap today ready for the Reaseheath Craft Fair on Sunday. I usually do well there so fingers crossed this will be a good year too. My business account is sadly depleted at the moment :0( Today I've been making Lemongrass & Ginger soap and Ylang Ylang & Patchouli soap. My friend Kate has offered to help me wrap the soaps up so I may call on her help tomorrow. Thankfully I've got some Tutti Fruitti, Angel Wings and quite a bit of Lavender already in stock. The bath bombe stock looks ok too, which is good as I can't find my bloomin' spray bottle for the witch hazel which binds the dry ingredients together.

So anyway, I'd better go and wash up my stuff ready for another soap batch...ah, no rest for the wicked huh? ;0)

Decorating almost finished...honest. Just got to put second coat on the picture rail.

Andy is practising trying to skate in his new Heelys I think he needs a lot of practice. He's going to take them camping...lots of quiet tarmac roads to practice on. Ann, Jon and I should have lots of fun watching him! LOL The weather looks like it's going to be showery all weekend, I do hope Mother Nature has a change of heart and is kind to us. It doesn't have to be scorchio, just not damp and freezing!

The outlaws are coming to tea tonight, I'm cooking Gammon in Cider and Orange slices, hope it turns out ok.

BBQ was good at the weekend but I got very drunk and had a bad head on Monday, that'll teach me for mixing my wines...when will I ever learn?

By the way, have you seen this on Ebay

So I'd better go and check on dinner, got lots of packing to do tomorrow...camping on Thursday....Woo Hoo :0)
