Good vibrations

So we're back from our hollies, and we had a fabby time. Just about got over my tiredness from the journey.
I thought I would put a few pics on here and give more of an update later.

The weather was hot and humid, Andy worshipped at the alter of air con :0) But there was a nice breeze in the bar at night. Saw lots of flora and fauna. Singapore orchids, bougeanvilla, frangipani, (which smelt gorgeous in the evening), palm trees of course. In the sea we saw black tipped reef sharks, butterfly fish, rays, moray eel, clown fish and lots more. We saw huge fruit bats in the early evening too.

Anyway here's some piccies. The first is of Andy and I on a beach swing.

Here's another of us outside the bar in the evening.

Here's the bungalow we stayed in.

This is a pic of the massage tables at the Spa, where I had the Heavenly Paradise Package Treatment, which involved a full body massage, a full body scrub with coconut, yoghurt and essential oils, an outdoor shower and then an relaxing bath in a huge tub filled with floating petals. Bliss.

I'll be adding more pics soon. Gotta to go and prepare for a barby now.

Holiday!

Woohoo, going off to the Maldives tomorrow. Very excited :0) Everything's packed, can't believe we are so organised. I just want to chill tomorrow and our flight isn't 'til 9.40pm so we've got plenty of time.
We took Talullah to the cattery today. I hope she'll be ok and will forgive us for leaving her for 2 weeks. It's the first time we've ever left her at a cattery, I felt sooo mean :0( I let her sleep on our bed with us last night, Andy had to take extra allergy tablets. She looked so cute snuggled up between us, bless! :0)
I'm feeling knackered, my hayfever has been really bad and my sinuses and ears are blocked, hope I don't suffer too much pain on the plane and that the special earplugs I've bought work. Anyway, we can have a nice lie in tomorrow, I've just got to pick a parcel up from the sorting office.

Sooo yeah, we all set to go. It's a long journey, over 13 hours so hopefully we'll get some sleep on the plane and then we can spend Tuesday afternoon chilling on the beach or at the beach bar.

Well we off for Sunday tea at my Mum and Dad's now and then we are going to the pub quiz. See you there guys, now I wonder if we will win this week. Somehow I doubt it. LOL

She's a perfect 10...courtesy of The Beautiful South

Actually I'm not a Perfect 10, I'm not a Perfect 12 or Perfect 14 either! However I think that clothes retailers are under the misapprehension that we are all size 10 or less.

I went shopping for holiday clothes yesterday, I went into Gap, I hate going in there, I never understand their sizes. Size 4!!!! You are joking? But is that US size 4 which is a UK size 6, who bloomin' wears that size, I'm talking ordinary people here folks not bloomin' super waifs that appear in celebrity magazines. Infact there was even a US size 3.....whaaaat?!

Anyway, there were lots of summer sales on but again anything in my size was gone and just the small sizes left. I managed to get a few things in River Island, linen trousers, a couple of tops and a dress. I was worried that I might end up looking like Mrs Marks and Sparks, with all the fawn and brown stuff. Perhaps I should invest in matching shoes and sandals in a nice gold/bronze colour...NOT! LOL So I did manage to get a bit of funky stuff plus today I went to TKMaxx and got some bikinis...scary but necessary. Hopefully we won't bump into anybody we know on holiday, I get really self concious in swimwear. We also got some snorkels and flippers. I won't swim without goggles and snorkel, might not bother with the flippers at first though. I've just tried them on and had a great comedy half hour of me trying to walk in them and Andy and my bro Martin laughing at me. I laughed so much I fogged my goggles up! What a sight! *BWG*

So we've got a new suitcase, our old one has got a big rip in it and looks a very sorry state. Well it has done quite a bit of travelling in the last 10 years, I mean it's travelled across the Atlantic 8 times plus accompanied us on quite a few other holidays. I did also treat myself to a new carry on bag. It's a 'Bet Lynch special' coz it's covered in tiger fake fur stuff, I love it :0)

Errrrmmm, so that's it for now, can you tell I am very excited about this holiday...I thought you could :0)
