Our nephew, Sam Douglas arrived 2 weeks ago weighing in at a whopping 10lbs 6oz! We went to see him last week and he doesn't look huge but he has got loads of hair. Mum and bubs are doing well and were home the day after he was born.
I had a lovely birthday last Sunday, it was good to see lots of family and friends. I got lots of cuddles with Jakey bubs and it is amazing to see how much Amelia has grown, she's just over 9 months and is desperate to be walking :0) Bless 'em. I got some lovely pressies too, so thanks to you all.
Our break in The Lakes was lovely, although of course it rained. The cabin was so cozy and the views were fantastic...and yes Andy did manage to bbq one night :0) You knew he would manage it somehow.
We're going to a big meet up weekend with the Fertility Friends gang later this week. Should be good fun, there is allsorts planned from quizzes to karaoke plus a fabby Hawaiian buffet..YUM!
Andy and I have been busy at the allotments again. We've been clearing lots of rubbish out as there is an inspection tomorrow. There is still more to shift but we are getting there and it will just have to wait till next week now as Andy is really busy. I've been planting up loads of stuff. I've been thinning out the lobelia, got to do the petunias in a bit. The tomato plants are doing well and so is the parsley. I must plant my sweet peas in a bit, bought loads of seeds this year so that I can have them in the garden here and at the allotment. On my alltoment I have been pruning the raspberry bushes, cuting down stuff which will make great growing canes, (don't know what the plant is though), I've been digging out where the grass has overgrown round the fruit bushes and I've put weedkiller on a patch that I want to put my dahlia and ranunculas into. I started digging it out but there is so much and I did it all on the other plot, we never used any weedkiller on the other plot, we just dug it all. Can't be arsed doing it again on this plot. I'm refusing to clear out the pond on my plot as it's full of frogs and even more full of leaves. Andy has volunteered to do that...fank yoooo Andy :0)
Ermmm so yeah, glad the weather is better. I'm looking forward to spending time down at the allotment. Especially as my plot is a really sunny spot :0)
Suppose I should mention why I feel ugly, well I've had a bloomin' break out of spots! Lovely...NOT! I look a right minger! | 2:26 pm
Sunday, March 13, 2005 Gutted!
So yet again it's another negative. I started bleeding early....again, despite the upped dosage of cyclogest. I knew it was all over on Tuesday. We are both devastated, but trying to look to the future. Sorry for the downer folks :0( I'm doing ok, not sunk into a big depression or anything, just trying not to think about it too much, and been keeping myself busy.
We've only got 2 frosties, (frozen embryos), Curly and Larry from our first IVF. We're going to go with a Frozen Embryo Transfer in May, fingers crossed they thaw ok.
Can't believe we are in this position again. We've been together 10 years this Wednesday and I thought by now we would have at least one little un running around, but I guess that wasn't meant to be.
We're off to the Lakes for a few days. Spend sometime chilling and away from fertility stuff. Looking forward to seeing folks next Sunday on my birthday, I love it when friends and family come together. Hopefully our new nephew will have arrived safe and sound by then too. Got to keep looking to the future. Onwards and upwards as they say.
