Yay, it's almost Halloween!

You know how I love this time of year and also how much I love dressing up in costume :0) We've been invited to a Scooby Doo themed Halloween party tomorrow night, it's also in celebration of our friends' wedding anniversary. Andy is going as the headless horseman and I am going as a zombie belle of the ball type chick. I don't think she ever actually featured in Scooby Doo as a character but I was buggered if I was going to go as Velma...orange is just not my colour darlink! LOL

Sooo yeah, should be fun.

On a sadder note though, unfortunately it will be Andy's Grandma's funeral on actual Halloween, which is a real shame and will put a mournful gloom over Andy's Mum and Dad's wedding anniversary on 1st November. Poor Grandma she's not wanted to be around ever since Grandad died 2 years ago. Bless her I hope she has found peace at last.

We will be returning home though to sort out the Trick or Treat bags and I suppose I'd better get the pumpkins carved on Sunday. Think I might rustle up a nice pumpkin Thai curry for tea too!

Back again

So it seems that my tummy bug wasn't a tummy bug at all. I'd had an ectopic pregnancy and miscarriage. Unfortunately I had a lot of pain and quite a bit of internal bleeding which resulted in me ending up in hospital for a week. Didn't have to have an op though, which was good, and once my blood count was more or less back to normal they let me go home.

We're trying to see all this as a positive thing, at least I did get pregnant, just in the wrong place :0( We are thinking about having another go at IVF next March. I've got an appointment to see my consultant at the beginning of December for a general check up and to discuss what we are going to do next.

Hmmmm, life's never easy is it?

Anyway, I am fully recovered now and getting on with life.

So a couple of weeks ago my brother got married at Ruthin castle. We all dressed up in medieval costumes and a good time was had by all. If you go here and click on Theme Wedding you will see the photos

If you don't 'know' me, I'm the one in the red frock with dark curly bobbed hair and Andy is the very blonde guy in the burgundy tunic. It really was a great day, the sun shone, the food and mead was great. Plus the groom and best man speeches were the best I've ever heard. Really funny and totally summed up my bro and his missus :0)

So yeah, things are looking much more positive.
