So another week is over, time seems to be whizzing by, the weeks just fly. I can't believe it was the 'longest day' yesterday...now nights will start to 'draw in' as they say :-(

I think I'm going to check the weather forecast for next weekend and if it looks ok then we wil have a barbie and get a few folks around. My brother and dad have made our garden look lovely and I've yet to sit in it and really enjoy it. Unfortunately by the time I get home from the shop, the sun is no longer on the back garden whilst the drive at the front is in scorchio sunshine. Maybe I should start sunbathing on the car bonnet! Now there's a scary thought and image! LOL

Went to see Spiderman last night. It was pretty good, loved the way they did the bits wherer he is swinging on his webs through the streets of New York.

I was going to take tomorrow off work, but I think I'll go in, you never know someone out there may be desperate to buy soap or are frantically looking for the perfect gift basket. Yeah right! But hey, if it's really quiet I can always come home and do the books...woo hoo!

So we're off to take a walk up to Andy's Mum and Dad's now, think I'll take a bottle of wine with me. They need cheering up, Andy's little bro has just left home to live with his girlfriend, so they are feeling a bit ugh...all our children have now flown the nest sort of thing! Also we are going to check out all the work they have had done on their dining room and kitchen, so we'll be oooing and aaahhhing a lot at that :0)

Been a looong tiiiime!

So where the heck is the sun? Daaahn Saaaarf, I fink :0)
It's warm, it's muggy, it's dry, but no bloody sunshine, I want to sit in the garden and eat barbecued food and drink beer, but nooooo the North West weather is conspiring against me!

It was Andy's birthday on Saturday, and we finally went to see Star Wars - Attack of the Clones, fun to watch, a bit smushy (mixture of smoochy and mushy) at times, brilliant effects.

Did my first workshop at the shop on Sunday, a 12th birthday party for 10 girls. It went well, they all made bath bombs and soap. The shop looked like a bomb had hit it, and stank like a tarts boudoir afterwards! They all seemed to enjoy themselves though. It felt like being a teacher again. I can't believe it's 4 years since I packed in teaching to go travelling. I do miss it sometimes, but I enjoy working for myself but working 7 days aweek does get me down sometimes, I miss having a whole day to myself where I don't have to run around doing stuff that I don't usually get time to do. Ah well, can't have it all ways.

I'm hoping that in the near future I can do more selling from the Diva Pleasures website, and perhaps to some Pamper Parties at people's houses too. I also wish I could afford to have a shop in a nearby town, but it's way out of my budget at the moment. It would be fantastic if the the website got to be successful, then I could work from home again.

Guess that's about it, think I will play a computer game tonight, either Myst 3 or The Sims, ....yeah, geek grrrl strikes again! ;0)

Had a brill day out for my little bruv's 30th birthday on Saturday. We went to Haydock Races and then on to Manchester for pubbing and clubbing.

Met some of his mates that I haven't seen for about 17 years...boy, have they all grown up,... muscles, beards, baldness and their voices have broken! LOL :0)

Absolutely knackering though, as we didn't get back 'til 4am, therefore I skived off work yesterday and today. Although I was up early today to take Andy to a meeting in Northwich.

Feeling a bit more human now...just been chilling and watching Big Brother...of course ;0)

Yes I am addicted to Big Brother I not only watch it on TV but also streaming live on the Net whilst I am doing other stuff. I admit I am truly sad, and a very nosey person! ;0)

Also watched the hour special of friends, season finale, Rachel gives birth and also accepts a 'marriage proposal' from Joey....or does she?

For the Past 3 hours we have been playing MYST lll If you've never played these games I definitely recommend them, fantastic graphics and puzzles which really make your brain work. The time just flies by.

So enough from couch potato geek grrl tonight.....

Yes it's been awhile since I posted.

The wedding went well, gorgeous weather and Ann looked beautiful. Her and Jon looked really happy. Family and friends had a fantastico time, some of us unitl 4am!! My reading at the ceremony was pretty nerve racking, but it was a real honour to do and folks seemed to like it. It summed up everything I wanted to say, I found it after searching the Net of course, Geek Grrrl that I am :0)

I speak of friendship, love and family.
Marriage is the union of
A greater sum than two in love.
Friends and relations are brought together by vows,
We share with you these happy hours.
In bringing families and friends together,
A million lives are changed forever.
Go then in joy, yourselves to please:
Your love shapes many destinies.

Things have been busy at the shop over the Bank Holiday weekend. I've just got in now. Andy's got the barbecue going so I'm off to enjoy what's left of the sunshine. That's my Jubilee celebration!
Sausage and burgers!
